Trifork Volley Questions
So I like most of the crossbow overclocks but I've been having a bit of trouble with this one.
I don't really know exactly what upgrades to use on it (aside from magnetic shafts), and its kind of confusing in the way it works. What builds with Trifork do you find work best for you guys?
Some basic questions:
1)How exactly does the bolt homing with magnetic shafts work?
2)Do you usually take damage or ammo (I usually take damage)
3)What primaries pair best with it (OCS included)?
4) Does it always shoot 3 bolts even if the ammo display only shows 2-1 bolts remaining?
5)Should I literally ever use projectile speed over reload speed?
You can write down your personal thoughts/experience with Trifork as well.

My personal experience is boomstick is better.

Basically, once the bolt gets within a certain (generous) radius of an electrocuted target, it immediately deviates and heads straight for the target. Virtually impossible to miss.

Damage is usually better for this build since you'll be using it on the tougher targets.

Mag shafts trifork pairs well with electrocuting focus shots, and any other scout weapon that can proc shock effects on one target.

Basically, imagine that your total ammo is divided by three. You never end up with just one or two left in the mag because you can't pick up trifork bolts.

Not really, reload speed is usually better.

Pair it up with a drak with the electric mod. I like to use my high sustain Drak that I shared with you a hike back.
Enjoy your long range jumbo shells!

Not what I asked and the boomstick cant obliterate a menace from 30 meters away.

trifork volley while it isn't my favorite crossbow OC (though thats nowhere near saying it's bad just IMO all of crossbows OCs are insanely well balanced and theres something for almost everyone among them) but it's a lot of fun and what I use on elimination most of the time

as mentioned above magnetic shafts is a huge help with hitting targets so IFGs or taser bolts help out a ton with it or take electric mod drak/electrical focus shots if you'd rather other grenades/bolt types

personally I always take damage over ammo as trifork does have a small damage penalty which I prefer to counter over having extra shots since triforks best use is crazy burst damage

I don't recall ever having an undivided amount of remaining ammo but considering things like sludge pump charge shots when under the required among my guess is if you somehow ended up with 1-2 bolts loaded you'd still end up shooting 3 but thats mostly a guess

great OC tho, lots of fun
