Silicate harvester
Is this guy in the game?
Dense biozone is my favorite biome, yet I have never encountered this creature.
Thus starting to believe that it does not exist... Is it very rare or I am just unlucky?

Yes, they were acidentally disabled. They are back with update 23 in Dense Biozone and Radioactive. I was also missing them :-)

Saw a bunch in experimental earlier. Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time I saw one on the live branch :O

They're quite rare.

People do seem to like to kill them too, so if you are playing in open groups it maybe just someone murdered the poor chappy.

Now that you mention it- since the Introduction of the Jellys and the Shellbacks- Haven't seen these as much - used to spot them on Lush and ride them for fun - they have to change the frequency of these guys- Peaceful and mellow Riding Critters

1.) disabled or 2.) having a very low chance of spawning in the live, stable branch.

Either way, they are coming back with the new update. In the latest experimental branch we had like 12 of them in one huge cave.

I completely forget what these things were until I read the comments. We need more peaceful jellies!

Agreed, we need to see these more. And I would certainly love to see some extra passive fauna. I mean there's gotta be some kind of bug in the lower food chain.

I thought they seemed very scarce lately!

They got exterminated by the rolling thingies in the Radioactive Zone.

Slightly off topic, but for a new critter how about a Foot-Long Cricket-type bug-makes nice chirping noises- you touch it, pickaxe it, or shoot it, and FLING- off It jumps

Or make it bigger and be able to use it as transportation by standing on it and hitting it.

I'm seeing them all the time now since the latest update. It's nice to have more wildlife that isn't aggressively hostile. Still, seeing the little smoke clouds of rubble they kick up in the corner of my eye makes me edgy sometimes. My brain processes it as enemies spawning in. So it suddenly gets my full, furious attention only for me to realize it's just this harmless animal.
