how to detonate C4 better

only my 2nd day of playing--- doing OK, Lvl 7 Gunner-- when I toss C4/Satchel, do I detonate it with the Laser pointer? M1 right? -- or do I toggle button #4 again and blow it that way? -- tired of surviving a swarm wave and the C4 is still pulsing there, when I thought I blew it with the Laser pointer

If you swapped to another weapon/utility, you have to go back to the C4, button #4 if that's what you have it bound to, and then you can detonate by pressing left click.
If you want, you press reload after throwing 1 C4 down to throw more and detonate them all at once. It's helpful against larger targets, like dreadnoughts.

Ok so the Laser pointer DOES NOT detonate it -- do button #4 -- is there an icon/symbol that shows a detonater switch? that's what I'm used to from other games-- or do I click on button #4 AND use Laser to detonate -- I believe I succesfully blew C4 one time, and now I can't

as soon as you throw the c4 your dwarf will pick a scanner looking thing with a green screen, that's the c4 detonator (and it does look like the laser pointer), to use it just press m1 while holding it

to sum it up, m1 to throw the c4, m1 again to explode it

Whatever button you have your C4 bound to, after you throw it, that laser pointer that appears, is the one you use to detonate.

ah tyty -- I usually Lob a C4 when a swarm is announced, shoot some minigun and pistol, then hit the C4 as a big group or Praetorian runs by it -- I did it right the 1st time I played, but Lately I've been thinking the regular Laser pointer vs the green screen button #4 one - hahaha I wasn't doing anything -- now I know (and knowing's half the battle.... GI Joe!!)
