Seeing that the game has any focus on melee, killed what little interested I had.
Vermintide melee feels horrible as it is, I can't imagine actually paying for a game that contains it in some aspect.
The devs themselves are just the tip of the not interested iceberg.
V2 was already close to even with melee and ranged. Also there are plenty of games that feel worse in melee.
For me its waiting and maybe buying, probably at discount.
Yea the melee was really bad in that game, mindless first-person hack and slasher. What killed V2 for me was I watched an "expert" game and it was literally the exact same gameplay as I was experiencing at level 1. The only difference between me and those people is grinding out gear. Very lame.
like PTSD it comes flooding back. I forgot about the horrible gear grind. I tried to forget about it.
Its fairly smiliar with DRG and V2 difficulty wise, the game just throws more at you and you need to use some things a bit more like CC.
In DRG you can hold your own with any OC in H5, which is a fairly low gear "grind". It's mostly a skill-based game. V2 = if you don't have the gear you are literally incapable of doing it, no matter how good you think you are it's mathematically impossible. Gear-based game i.e. boring slog of a grind.
Smelled that ♥♥♥♥ real quick, that's why I only have like 7 hours in the game. One of my more regretful purchases...
So its also possible, but fairly tiresome.
Ah, so you just kite forever and slowly wittle them down? Does sound tiresome.
