How do I add a player as a friend?

Steam's "Recently Played With" doesn't seem to work with Deep Rock Galactic, and I haven't found a way to add another player as a Steam friend from within the game.

Yet I've been on the receiving end of friend requests from people I've played Deep Rock Galactic with. How did they do it? Am I missing something?

When I go to the Steam drop down menu from "View" and then select "Players" I can see the people I've played DRG with?

Ah... yes, there it is. Thanks. I was looking at the "Recently Played With" section on the Steam Community website, which didn't show anything. The in-game "Players" tab which you can get to from the Steam overlay shows my recent games, though.
