Idk bro sounds like a pretty subjective opinion
I’d say all of the stuff you described is mastered by level 100, though.
More or less yes, but that just makes you a good player and someone rank 1 could also do this pretty easily (ignoring the rank required to unlock it). Would I consider someone rank 1 a greybeard? No.
Greybeard to me means that you have experience with the game, and it depends on how fast you learn and your innate ability with FPS games as to when you achieve this imaginary title (20-50ish hours?).
People that never touch Haz 5 could be considered a greybeard, and will perform better than a greenbeard with more innate ability/higher skill ceiling.
You stop being a greenbeard when you have seen pretty much everything the game has to offer, you have a good consistent build, and know how to beat everything because you've done it at least once.
Greybeard has nothing to do with how well you play, it has to do with how long you've been playing and how familiar with every piece of the game you are, and how well you can explain it all. A lot of greybeards just happen to be good because they've been around very long
And then you blame the RNG for creating terrible maps.
I can't agree, between ranks of 100 to 250 I see some of the most bizarre decision making by players. Usually due to over-confidence. I actually prefer playing with players outside of those ranks, lower ranked players are cautious and generally follow my lead and higher level players tend to do the right thing.
they're longbeards, different to a greybeard
i've seen many rank500s and even rank1000+ with very long green beards (you usually see them running lobbies with the description "RANK 100+ ONLY 3 PROMOTIONS OR KICK" .......*is a haz3*)
i agree with the sentiment tho that a greybeard is someone who understands the game and how their mods/ocs/loadouts etc synergize with eachother and the biome/modifiers they're about to play etc
so while my original post was slightly sardonic, if you can't haz5 at least as a team comfortably then there's something seriously wrong with your build, or tactics, or choices, which shows a lack of understanding and perception, thus not a greybeard but a longbeard
