Dopamine released
You think you did it freely, for fun? No, you just watched a blue number go up until the game said "good little boy, your blue number is high enough".
Wake up, sheeple.
In short, don't bother too much about it over enjoying the game itself.
Beyond PR 100, assuming you've bought all upgrades and cosmetics (could take longer than this), your focus will shift to farming over clocks. A lot of them are pretty game changing, and by that player rank, you'll know enough about the game to start to explore multiple class builds that can really take advantage of them. I have a dedicated single player and separate class builds by mission type (elimination, data rack/salvage/escort, mining/extraction/egg hunt/pipes) for all dwarfs after 500+ hours in mission. It boils down to heavy combat, on a tether, and free to roam, at least for me. Other players will have many ideas about this. But they put you over the edge on a lot of missions and it feels good knowing that the build is what made the difference a lot of times.
And I'm still finding over clocks, especially the unstable ones, that send me over to the equipment bench, excited to give them a try. There seems to be no end to this, especially as the devs trickle these new weapons into the system.
Hoping for other over clocks for the rest of our equipment in the future. Especially would like it with Bosco. I could think of some interesting trade offs with that little guy that'd make solo games a bit more refreshing.
Pretty much this. But hey, at least I got the gold rank achievements.
Good to know there is zero incentive to grind for Player Level other than growing E-Peen. I'm just enjoying the game while farming for scrips at this point. 🤣👏👏👏
You know instantly who these people are though because if i notice someone with a really high player level ill have a peek at their hours spent ingame, and gods honest truth about 5% of the players with high player levels have it so you can see how much time they have spent because like you said there you would be proud of it, the other 95% either hide their profile completely or hide their time spent in games because it would give the game away that they are cheating numptys, only 1 reason to hide this, because you have something to hide.
