"Join the Steam Group"

So I bought the game and I can get 5000 credits if I "Join the Steam Group". I click it and it just opens steam.....

Right...What next? Never heard of a "steam group" before. I just want the 5k creds.

Hmm, okay, but what is a steam group anyway, for future reference?

I tend to just play the games over discord/steam stuff.

In the community tab of the game (there's a link in your library if you click on the game) are player groups for that game, with a chatroom and stuff.

Think of it like a public fan group.

This forum is in the community tab, but can't see/find any chat group?

Too many features/buttons and clickables these days.

I am super late to this but I just found this hunting tonight. My search here found this post but long since past. Click all on the community tab then hit the little join Group Chat. It's not an actual steam group, it's a messenger chat thing.

Update: There appears to be a bug with the Steam Client that is making it so joining previously unjoined group chats from the community hub isn't working. Hopefully this will be looked at soon.

Final update: You have to first "Follow" a game from the same page as the "All" tab on the "Community Hub" for said game. Then you can click "Group Chat" and it'll let you join.
