It is still 100% consistently doable on Haz 5, even with double mutators using scout. Git gud.

It's a poorly designed mission, "giting gud" has nothing to do with it.
especially on haz 5
especially solo, WTF man
I'd say do it on solo Haz 5 without losing armor would be god tier. You can just ignore Dotty until shes down to a low health at her 2nd armor plate, and even then shes pretty tanky at her main health bar, only being endangered by extreme burst damage such as floating rocks or bulks.
Personally solo'ing Haz 5 escort isnt too bad as it seems, but I **ALWAYS** end up losing an armor plate or 2.
Knowing when to give up a plating can save a run, because if you are stuck repairing then nothing will die and you will get overrun/sniped. They are an expendable resource, other than style points there is no reason to keep the dozer fully intact.
There is nothing in the base game that could be considered "god-tier", at least not when taking all other games into consideration.
hazard 5 solo is very, very easy
the problem with escort missions is the RNG factor going into different rooms
haz5 will be a cakewalk solo 99% of the time and then 1% you have doretta barging into a room with 3 spitballers, triggering a prospector, while the horde is spawning, while also deciding to fly causing you to fall off her as a detonator spawns
but you could just play gunner and completely crush even the harshest spikes
you don't need a specific class, they each have their strengths. scout can give himself near infinite breathing room to repair by spamming cryo and resupplying (solo resupply economy really rocks)
if you know you have spitters in the enemy pool prioritize them 100% and repair during freeze breaks
if you get to the end with at least 2 armor parts it should be breezy
keep in mind you repair the last part much, much slower than the other 2
make sure to give bosco electric rounds + faster digging + cryo missiles for maximum efficiency, he'll be able to get oil shale from the ceiling for you ezpz
In most cases, it follows this flow in my experiences: Gunner > Engineer > Driller > Scout
Not losing armor isn't difficult, but sometimes it just happens that you lose 1 or 2 to RNG. I've had 3 menace spawn and all taking pot shots at Dottie while I am playing Driller.

For those who like to give my solo builds a shot see below:
Gunner: Leadstorm Minigun with Lead Storm OC at 21112, Bulldog with magic bullet at 13212, shield with 221 and cluster grenade
Engineer: Warthog with mini shell and 12321, breach cutter with stronger plasma current at 21112, platform gun with bug repellent and proximity mine
Driller: cryocannon with ice spear at 31132, EPC with energy rerouting at 21222, satchel charge with 1123(last tier can change) and impact axe
Scout: m1000 with hipster at 13211, zukov with embedded detonator at 13232, flare gun with 212 and cryo grenade
And mineral hoarding dwarves avoid this mission type at all costs. The minerals per real world time invested is abysmal.
