I don't play Haz4 with randoms anymore. Hell, as a Scout lugging about three dead weights is alread bad enough in H3, but doable. It's not doable in H4.
And I'm here to relax and unwind. Not to do a second job I not only get paid for but also frustrated.
Funny enough, it seems I'm not the only one. I've seen higher level players in H2s lately than in H3s. Kinda telling.
Not sure if that's in response to me or not, but I don't "chill" in Haz 4. I said "I hang out in Haz 4, or if I want casual I'll do Haz 3". I can pull my weight in Haz 4, but I can't carry a whole team in Haz 4. It isn't my job to carry anyone, but if I can I will. If I want to "chill", I will play Haz 3 because I know I can carry my weight and everyone else's too
I'm gonna go join my local NFL team and they deserve to lose because like you said, how am I supposed to improve if I don't try? I'm not complaining about Haz 5 or Elite DD, I'm talking Haz 4. I've ran some Haz 5 missions, and you really gotta know your ♥♥♥♥. I'm sure you know that as well. Haz 4, though difficult, doesn't require as much skill. You're allowed to be a little sloppy in Haz 4. Unfortunately, with the intake of new players, most aren't nearly skilled or experienced enough to survive Haz 4, but insist on playing anyway. There is no shame in working your way up from lower Hazards. Like I said in my original post, I drop down to Haz 3 when I want something casual. Many of the new players trying Haz 4 don't even have their first promotion yet, and not having that final perk slot unlocked really does matter at Haz 4 & 5. I don't want to play pro leet mlg squad, as cringe as that was to type out, I want to play Haz 4 with randos without failing every other mission
I main a Scout as well. I love the mobility. A lot of people say they don't like Scout because they don't have as much firepower as the other classes, which is true, but I think that says a lot about them as a player. Yes, I don't have as much firepower as a Scout, but unless I'm playing Haz 5, I can usually hold my own. If I can't, that's where the grappling hook comes in handy. The problem is that even though I can (usually) hold my own in Haz 4, I can't carry everyone else unless it's Haz 3. People who say Scout doesn't have as much firepower as the other classes usually can't hold their own when playing Scout anyway
