If Haz 4 is too hard, go back to Super Weenie Hut Jr.
If you say anything bad about DRG on Reddit, all the virgins will tell you you're wrong, so maybe if I come here, the place where no one reads things anyway, I'll find people who agree with me

Ever since this first season came out, I feel like tons of greenbeards and rusty greybeards have joined DRG. That's fantastic, glad more people are playing, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I can't carry everyone. I can't tell you how many Haz 4 missions I've played since the start of the season and people just can't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hang and because of that, I fail the mission. I just got out of a game where I had to rez the entire time probably three times. I ended up dying because I got picked up and carried away during a hacking event, then I just got swarmed since everyone else was dead, again

IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE A HAZ 4 MISSION, THAT'S FINE, BUT DON'T ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ JOIN IF I HAVE TO CARRY YOUR ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WEIGHT

There is a reason I join Haz 5 sparingly. I always think to myself, am I up for a real challenge? Am I gonna be mad if I fail? That's why I hang out in Haz 4, or if I want casual I'll do Haz 3. Haz 2 is too easy, so I hardly ever do those

I can't be for sure if someone is a rusty greybeard, but I do know a greenbeard when I see one because they don't have any promotions. Again, glad it's brought in new players, but JFC, I'm tired of people not knowing wtf they're doing

Start off on Haz 3 if you're new or rusty. No shame in getting yourself (re)familiar with the game. However, there is shame in joining a Haz 4 and causing everyone to waste their time and fail the mission because you don't know how to play

edit: just failed a Haz 3 mission escort mission because as I was standing on top of the drilldozer a cave leech grabbed me. I was with two greenbeards, an engi and a driller. I told them to come get me together because there is a cave leech. What did they do? They came separately and they both died. I don't care that greenbeards are learning to play, but if someone with more experience is talking, maybe listen? They probably know what's going on

I can actually tell you how many Haz4 missions I played in the past 2 weeks: three. Because my friends didn't have more time than that.

I don't play Haz4 with randoms anymore. Hell, as a Scout lugging about three dead weights is alread bad enough in H3, but doable. It's not doable in H4.

And I'm here to relax and unwind. Not to do a second job I not only get paid for but also frustrated.

Funny enough, it seems I'm not the only one. I've seen higher level players in H2s lately than in H3s. Kinda telling.

What I do find curious since U35 and the Steam Sale with the huge uptake in players is the significant relative increase in Haz4 games. Prior to the update I'd normally find the # of Haz 3 vs. 4 games relatively even with H2 significantly lower, and H1 rare as hen's teeth. Now I see the majority of public games look to be Haz 4.

"Barriers" are just treated like an objective to grind through. IMO a big draw in the Haz 4 games is the unlock of Haz 5. The game doesn't force you to pass the entry gate solo, they can just join the appropriate mission at any stage of completion and presto. Then there are the players that entertain themselves by seeing just how hard the game can smash them, or panic and try to rush to complete an objective.

To say "I join Haz 4 to chill" then whine about new players in Haz 4 games that don't really know what they're doing is a bit full of oneself. "Chill" is to have a bit of fun win or lose; being available to help pull a bit of extra weight with randoms without big expectations. If dealing with newer randoms at H4 is a problem, then chill at H3. New players can certainly still get themselves in plenty of trouble in H3, but it won't be as stressful sorting the mess out.

Not sure if that's in response to me or not, but I don't "chill" in Haz 4. I said "I hang out in Haz 4, or if I want casual I'll do Haz 3". I can pull my weight in Haz 4, but I can't carry a whole team in Haz 4. It isn't my job to carry anyone, but if I can I will. If I want to "chill", I will play Haz 3 because I know I can carry my weight and everyone else's too

This might make me a virgin but YOUR OPINION IS WRONG, Noobs should totally try haz4, people who suck should try haz4, people who are rusty and returning should try haz4. How are you supposed to improve if you don't try? Carried or not everyone should at least make the attempt. If you want to run with a pro leet mlg squad then form a static but something tells me you'd be hard pressed to find three friends that want to play with you.

Rock and Stone!:pickax:

I'm gonna go join my local NFL team and they deserve to lose because like you said, how am I supposed to improve if I don't try? I'm not complaining about Haz 5 or Elite DD, I'm talking Haz 4. I've ran some Haz 5 missions, and you really gotta know your ♥♥♥♥. I'm sure you know that as well. Haz 4, though difficult, doesn't require as much skill. You're allowed to be a little sloppy in Haz 4. Unfortunately, with the intake of new players, most aren't nearly skilled or experienced enough to survive Haz 4, but insist on playing anyway. There is no shame in working your way up from lower Hazards. Like I said in my original post, I drop down to Haz 3 when I want something casual. Many of the new players trying Haz 4 don't even have their first promotion yet, and not having that final perk slot unlocked really does matter at Haz 4 & 5. I don't want to play pro leet mlg squad, as cringe as that was to type out, I want to play Haz 4 with randos without failing every other mission

I main a Scout as well. I love the mobility. A lot of people say they don't like Scout because they don't have as much firepower as the other classes, which is true, but I think that says a lot about them as a player. Yes, I don't have as much firepower as a Scout, but unless I'm playing Haz 5, I can usually hold my own. If I can't, that's where the grappling hook comes in handy. The problem is that even though I can (usually) hold my own in Haz 4, I can't carry everyone else unless it's Haz 3. People who say Scout doesn't have as much firepower as the other classes usually can't hold their own when playing Scout anyway
