It's just a standard BC with 18 rounds... can annihilate pretty much anything, but suffers against ranged units(spitters, menace) and anything large (praet, opp, dread, etc.).
You have to leverage some skill and play somewhat risky to line up shots and save ammo. Try not to expend a BC unless it's like at least 8 enemies. Kite and find some level ground until you shoot.
It's a great "oh ♥♥♥♥" button as well, you can delete anything around you by just spinning and spamming 4 BCs.
Don't use shotgun with this build, you will have 0 range. I use my electro stubby and it compliments it well enough, but the LOK would technically be the best fit if it wasn't so gimmicky and boring of a weapon xD
I’ve found it works best with the stubby, not very good with the lok1, and the warthog falls in the middle somewhere
I could swap to Tier 2 Beam DPS too.
If you really hate mactera you can use build for Inferno OC with 22123 or 21123. Inferno just adds a DOT of fire element + heat on top of BC's base 50 fire damage on initial hit. Also likely the only viable BC build to fight robots with.
Alternative is to do the same using High Voltage Crossover for slow CC (you might want to run Plasma Trail).
Both elemental OCs work as combo weapons for LOK-1. HVC only works as a combo weapon with stubby. Comboing only good for tankier enemies due to the fact that everything else just kinda die.
For a support/area denial build use Spinning Death 11122 (take Born Ready perk on your character) which will keep stunning enemies that touch it. Alternatives basically boil down to experimenting with the other Tier 3 and Tier 2 mods or using Explosive Goodbye instead of Plasma Burn.
Couple of the other builds were fun, though.
Return to Sender lets you double dip on damage, good for big targets at close-medium range. I use 11112, but explosive goodbye is also good if you can use it properly.
I never feel the need to take larger mags or faster reloads, because I always use Born Ready on my Engie, so my builds aren't very diverse outside of which OC I'm running.
Not meant to be an exciting build, but it gets work done. Pretty decent agains anything from swarmers to bulks, surprise attack around the corner or sleeping spitballers 30 meters away.
So, it's a great build on anything but Elimination. Deletes pretty much anything you'll encounter in 1 shot, if not 2. Anything that survives 2 hits will likely die to burning.
Would gremlin laugh again, 10/10.
Struggling choosing anything but 2 in the first tier because it's quite an ammo boost considering. Everything else falls just about in line, though.
I guess that made return to sender not my cup of tea. The ammo reduction and extra time spent nuking the one big boy made me wonder why I wouldn't just choose something else and shoot it twice.
Inferno was also really nice. I remember trying it before and not liking it, so either I sucked back then or they changed it.
Thanks for the tips! Considering actually continuing to use it with the a crowd build for the lok.
Still need to try lightweight and crossover.
