Christmas event ruins my game experience.

As always at this time of year, clueless and unoriginal developers start pumping out their stupid holiday "events" with always the same terrible decorations that ruin everything, and sadly Deep Rock is no exception.
Before the hivemind start attacking me for my opinion and is backed up by the outrageous authoritarian moderation that I've seen countless of times on this forum, here's why this event shouldn't be a thing:

1) It ruins the immersion. The game is about dwarves working for a large greedy corporation by sacrificing their lives in a cave. What does the event brings? Presents in uncharted caverns, snow in the space rig, annoying music that no one likes. The whole identity of the game is attacked with this. If the caves are unexplored, why are there stupid "present" in the game? Why do they give error cubes? This is clearly forcing player to interact with this stupid event to get unfair boosts. Error cubes are supposed to be rare. Also, the annoying hats make no sense. If I see anyone in my lobby with a stupid snow man head I'm kicking them on the spot.

2) It makes no sense lore-wise. DRG is a greedy company that won't give any fun to their employees, hence why you're berated by management when you try to dance in the rig. They wouldn't bring out decorations and snow for the miners. If the event was realistic, management would give a speech on why holiday bonuses were cancelled due to a lack of money because the dwarves didn't work hard enough. Again, immersion ruined.

3) The freebies given devalue our hard work. The devs decided to give out 2 matrix core already infused, which is an insult to the time us veteran players have devoted to the game. I've had to play every week to get all overclocks, and now they're giving what I had to earn for free???? Sad to see the devs cater to new players that don't care about the game.

4) Christmas is offensive. The holiday is clearly catered to the christian folks (hence the name CHRISTmas), despite them being a minority. I'm an atheist and seeing this religion non-sense forced down my throat is clearly an insult on my beliefs. In fact, I'm pretty sure the devs are doing this on purpose in order to try to convert people to their religion.
Also, I have no family or friends and I hate everything fun, so don't even try with your "bUt It'S a TiMe To GaThEr WiTh YoUr LoVeD oNeS!!!11!!1!".

I do understand that people like the event, but being forced into it is clearly insulting and offensive. I want the devs to add an opt-out option so you don't have to see any of it.
Until then I'm not playing the game because I don't want to have anything to do with Christmas.

I want to opt out of all Holiday events, and also ideally; opt out of seeing holiday themed cosmetics client side.

I kinda agree. I like holiday themes in games, if well done. But just keep it subtle and immersive because it can get annoying quickly.

To be fair, apart from the annoying music and the overbearing presents you sometimes have (love to be body blocked in caves by event props), DRG events aren't the worst. And I love the snowball fights too!

I think decoractions inside the space rig seem realistic, but seeing presents during missions definitely ruins the immersion.

I still haven't seen normal atmospheric events in games, that would fit the game lore and other stuff.
