Satchel charge? Does it Destroy Ore when you mine with it?
new to the game and have a dumb question!

I feel using Satchel charges gets you less ore then mining it with a pix axe.

There is no real way to gauge it since base game has each vein of ore scaled off of rng, but I feel I get less when I take the fast route and blow up.

Nothing is destroyed, you just don't get the pot-of-gold buff if you do it.

It doesn't. Resources can't be destroyed.

Thats not true, lootbugs can eat minerals!

but for the OP, no, it doesn't destroy ore. It will send it flying across the map though.

Actually, lootbugs multiply minerals by 1.5x when they eat them, you do have to kill them to get it though…

It’s actually a great function for farming gold on on-site refinery missions

They don't multiply any of the valuable minerals though, they just disappear.

Not sure what you mean by "valuable minerals", but Nitra, Gold and all crafting materials are multiplied. I know cause I've let loot bugs have at the remains of a huuli hoarder and got over 60 enor and over 60 bismor upon killing them.

What game have you been playing? Have you SEEN how much those adorable critters drop once they have all massed up and eaten a bunch of minerals? I hate to kill the little turds but when they are all clumped up and engorged on my minerals I didn't feel like walking all the way back to the refinery and they are in my way of pipe building it's a big chore to even pick it all up even when your pipes are placed and you can surf them back real quick.

Satchel is how you farm gold.

C4 does destroy scouts though. I swear they are magnetically attracted to them. They get real mad too. I'm like "bruh, don't you have nitra in the ceiling to mine?" somehow when I am just about to hit my detonator there is ALWAYS a scout grappling face first into it. xD

Oh really? Then I'm silly. Thanks for letting me know! Its time to force feed some lootbugs XD

Scouts are attracted to any/all projectiles that deal over 200 damage in a single hit. They'll even bend time and space to predict when and where a projectile is fired to be right on top of it when it has entered existence. The higher the damage and greater the AoE, the more spacetime is warped.

They eat minerals. Store them in their body. Then multiply the minerals a little. (Can also be objective minerals such as morkite or distrum.) Pop them to get stuff back.

They also give you free stuff if you pet them enough.
