In windows, under sound settings, input, device properties, volume
you can change your mic volume there
Oddly, windows didn't playback sounds good either, yet it worked in everything, as i said. Mictest.com is probably a thing, go there and see if it works. I'd say windows isn't reliable.
There's also a bug where you have an open mic until you tap the Push To Talk button.
I don't have a way of making my mic louder in those settings.
There should be a volume slider. Are you saying its at 100 already?
You will see a selectable drop down menu. Try clicking on it to see if you have more than one microphone option.
DRG looks like it has a inoperable volume slider in-game but really it's a bar that moves when it detects microphone input. From my experience I assume that DRG has an unchangeable minimum input volume hurdle that is higher than some of my other games. At least the feedback is clear... though I was confused about if it was a volume slider or not since it uses the same style.
are you saying it has built in squelch? Like it doesn't pass audio unless it breaks a certain threshold?
It is on 100%
