How do i work the space garand?

i use focus shots but i don't get much dmg in.

Just also keep in mind that unlocked weapons are *not* upgrades to the ones you start with. They just enable alternate play styles.

Focus shots with the base M1000 give you the option of 2 hits in a single shot with a bit of a zoom. (for the cost of the 2 ammo) Optionally you can add a bonus 25% damage and/or stun effect or fear effect over an area if you kill something with a focus shot. You can focus shot the last round in the magazine for the same 200-225% damage at a cost of only the 1 round.

It isn't until you unlock some Overclocks for m1000 that focus shots have a slight bit more potential. You can trade 1/3 of your ammo for +125% damage per focus shot. Have a brief hover while focused, or electrocute on focus.
