As for sharing your save with someone. Yes, it's possible. You'd need to go to the DRG folder in steam and find the saves in Deep Rock Galactic>FSD>Saved>SaveGames and find a long digit file ending with _Player.sav. You will then need to give them that file and have them change the digits to what their save file is and then back up their current saves. Delete the ones in the folder and place the new one there. Game should take the save and use it as their own.
As for your friend its up to him, not everyone has the time or wants to grind for everything so I find it understandable. At the end of the day it isn't hurting anyone and the point of games is to have fun. It depends on the game though I guess, this game its fine.
Instead of making new accounts, try fixing the issues you encounter and own your mistakes if you get banned for something.
Its ''morally'' considered cheating, but there are no consequences for it.
DRG is a coop PvE game, not a game where progression or stats matters to others.
You do you, and if sharing files is bothersome there are mods that allow you to unlock things. At the cost of having to make a new savefile and not being able to play with people that have not used sandbox mods with that save.
I never look at the date, and assume when something is front page its relevant....
