How to use the hacking drone?

I'm stuck in a mission right now.

I called in a hacking drone, i linked the beacons so they're close to the enemy machine... and nothing happens?

Am I missing something?

Nevermind, figured it out.

The beacon doesn't connect from just any angle. If you're having issues try throwing it on the other side of the machine
