Heard this exact voice line for the first time yesterday night, while having a few pints with a friend.
I have no idea whether it's always been there or if it was recently added but, by Karl, it was a welcomed surprise that put a smile on me dwarven face.
P.S: " Did ye know that tomatoes are actually berries ? "
If I can do all that myself I am sure a trained barber can as well. The issue is do you want a Greatclips/$10 equivalent DIY haircut... or do you want a genuine haircut?
Yes if you go to chain stores like Sports/Super/Greatclips you are getting mediocre/bad haircuts.
The Barber is the one who shaves those and only those who do not shave themselves, and this results in two possibilities:
- The Barber shaves himself, but the barber cannot shave himself as he only shaves those who do not shave themselves, if he shaves himself, he is no longer the barber.
- The Barber does not shave himself, but if he doesn't shave himself, then he is in the group shaved by the barber, so he must shave himself.
The barber cannot both shave and not shave himself, while still being the barber, so the scenario is impossible, a contradiction.Answers such as "the barber is shaved by another barber" or "the barber has a medical condition that means they don't need to shave" miss the point of the paradox, it's a theoretical scenario that is logically impossible because it contradicts itself.
"How much wood would a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?"
Much wood, would chuck a wood chuck, if chuck wood a wood chuck could.
