Going Deeper achievement

I completed a deep dive with one of my friend who was the host and only he got the achievement "Going Deeper". Is this intended? Do I have to be the host in order to get the achievement too?

The achievements can be kind of buggy at times. I once did a deep dive, which we completed in 44:59, and one of my friends got the deep for speed achievement (or whatever it is called), but I didn't.

Yeah there’s some achievement desync if you’re not hosting the game, unfortunately.

While hosting, I've had two friends complete their first dives with me...one of them got it and the other didn't on the same dive. I was NOT hosting when I got the achievement. So it is buggy, but I don't think it has anything to do with whether you're hosting or not.
