So, I got banned from the Discord server.

So I posted a meme in their memes chat, link for the image is here: https://imgur.com/oNjYNll , and I got banned for this. Now, I'll admit that I did this with my friends who have all been on the server far longer than I have, where they have posted this meme and updated it every time the mods have deleted the meme, but this meme was literally my first post on the server, and I got banned with no warning and no reason. I don't know if they considered it "offensive", but I'm fairly certain that what I did does not violate any of their rules, as I posted a meme in their memes channel, unless they consider criticism "hate speech". One of my friends posted a different version of this meme that did not comment on the moderation team twice in their memes channel, link can be found here: https://imgur.com/XP4BY56 ,both times it has been deleted, but they only locked him out of all communications in the server, indefinitely, while I got banned for just one offense.

Maybe they weren't feeling nice that day? *shrug* I dunno. Kind of a stupid idea to take a jab at moderators in the very place they moderate. Doesn't just go for the DRG community.

Look at it from the moderator's point of view; They don't know who you are. For all they know you could be someone they banned before on a diff. account, making spiteful memes to "get back" at them. Not the most unbelievable story. Probably just didn't want to risk anything worse happening.

That said, at least 1 warning would've been fair.

As a discord admin myseld, I can see where mod team is coming from. A relatively freshly joined account who's first order of business is to post an ironic cirticism pic that has been already posted and deleted numerous times. You are indeed asking to get banned.

The reason that I was brought in to do that in the first place was because of the fact my friends were worried that this exact situation would happen to them, but it didn't, they only ever got muted, not permanently banned without a warning or reason as to why.

I've never heard basically *anything* good about the discord server, but one must also realize that moderators deal with textual diarrhea and internet babysitting on a daily basis. When they check a user's post history and see they've only just joined and posted a meme that's already been deleted, they probably assume said user is an alt account trying to evade punishment for doing so.

As a discord admin myself as well, I can see some reason as to why Craft got banned, but the complete lack of communication, not even to say something like, "You're a troll, begone", makes this a really impulsive and uncommunicative ban. It also doesn't state anywhere in the server rule's fine print that this is a bannable offense in any sort of way, unless it qualifies as "hate speech" somehow. If it does qualify as hate speech to people, then i think those people might be incredibly soft.

The reason is because you're a troll who only joined to complain about the moderation. No discord in the world would tolerate someone like that.
