The nukes suck against dreads mainly because you put a harmful field in the place where you fight, make a hole to break your speed or los and hyper does probably better anyway due to having more ammo.
They are bad if you nuke your team. Or you are fighting dreads only.
come at me leafboy, i'm RIPPED.
But fr though, why not just use hyper propellant? it takes chunks out of every dreadnought type, and doesn't make your team wish they'd spaced you back on the rig.
of course hyper is probably going to be better, at least against twins and regular dread, buut with fat boy you can also wipe out mini swarms that wander into you from time to time, it takes just one shot to kill them all, pretty nice
and its not as if fat boy is the worst choice, id say its minimum second best for the PGL in this mission type since it offers you good burst damage much like hyper prop
And if the host says not to use it, well, create your own lobby then.
