Home brew powder worth it?
i have so many of them and they just seems, awful and horribly over priced for what they are. id like to get second opinions from older miners, cause they just seem like filler garbage compared to other overclocks

The problem is that it's RNG. For weapons that have alot of ammo (Driller's Subata), it may be worth it because over time it will be a net boost.

Personally I prefer consistency and my personal luck tends to the extremes, so I avoid homebrew like the plague (especially with lower ammo weapons).

You're better off min-maxing.
Homebrew Powder is pretty bad*.

*The Homebrew Powder OCs on the Subata and the Deepcore, are bad. Homebrew Powder on the Bulldog is alright, since the threshold goes up to 200%, but you're probably better off just building it for consistent damage with Elephant Rounds.

Homebrew Powder is a fine perk for single-target damage builds on the PGL though, I like running it with Hyper Propellant.

Over time, it's a flat +20% to damage.

Not very fancy or exciting, but certainly not bad.

First I thought that, but I re-math it again and it is "only" +10% flat damage over time. If im not totaly wrong with it. (80+140)/2=110
If you talked about GK2 and Subata's Homebrew Powder.

Sorry, that's what I meant, my phone screen is cracked, and I often get a 2 when I press the 1.

This.

It's a flat out damage boost to the weapon, how can that be bad?

Sure, the occasional shot will score under base damage, but you rarely feel it ever if at all. I would and do take it over many other OCs with less predictable or consistent results on all the weapons with a Homebrew option.

It is nice on the subuta, as it is the only overclock for it which directly increases damage (kinda)
