- The only rank system is player level. That's about it.
- There are some cheats out there that can affect your save but you can always roll back your save to get rid of stuff you don't want.
You can rank up indefinitely.
Still, I'd say the cheating doesn't ruin the game, in this particular occasion. It's not PvP, the ways to grief are limited, and you're generally not forced to play with anyone. I wouldn't worry too much about folks running around with infinite ammo and such.
Cheaters usually don't stick around for long either and they are usually coming back around after big updates.
In 1000 hours, I've nevet yet met one personally.
Well not one that affected me. MAybe I ran into some but I don't really have any ways to see their 4M ressources, credits and blank cores.
edit: and cheaters cant really ruin anything for you. just kick them :)
There's no campaign. The game is just about doing missions in caves. You can either go solo or with a group. If you choose to go solo, you get a little robot to help you out.
There is no singleplayer campaign outside of a single tutorial mission. It's an arcade coop game and meant to be played with others.
As for the cheating, you can eliminate it almost entirely by hosting your own missions.
I often jump on to just play a match or two because its such a fidget toy of a game its always what i jump to when i have no motivation to play anything. its great :D
The game is peer to peer so the lag is entirely up to the host's internet. And if you're hosting, you basically have no problems.
Bugs are presents, like in any other game. The most common ones aren't gamebreaking but can be annoying to some extent. There are still mostly rare.
bugs are rare but not that big of a deal especially since the game isnt designed in a way where a bug can ruin it. you are never stuck or getting declined progress or anything due to them. usually its comical to witness a bug.
the host server system is pretty loose and allows the host control of who is kicked and such. and there is a system where if you complete the objective you cant be kicked so it prevents hosts from trolling people. subsequently you can easily kick people as the host if they are deliberatly trolling but generally its rare for you to get kicked as long as you are playing normally and being chill.

I figure this should do as a host.
