Other content that you cannot get as a new player, or may have to wait for are the celebratory or special event cosmetics. Examples being the hats for Halloween and anniversary. Each Halloween they have released a new hat/mask, and last year I think they originally planned to allow players access to the previous years' hats/masks temporarily, keeping only that current year mask. There was a pretty vocal outcry from the community asking to keep the previous year hats/masks at the end of the event, GSG listened to the community and let everyone keep the older Halloween hats. I was happy with that decision as I really liked the Witch's hat & pumpkin head more so than the demon mask for last year. This year I suspect they'd do the same, but there are things you might see like anniversary hats. Again, it's a "thank you" gift for people that supported the game when they did, nothing more, nothing less.
Hey I play their game, I demand T-shirt too then! We are equal.
I only mentioned free, never exclusive. Besides, there's literally no limit to virtual items. T-Shirts? They'd probably run out of cloth.
Nothing to re-read about your comment slower or faster. Your problem with these items is just silly.
I'm not sure what's hard to understand about wanting games to have content parity. I buy the game, I get the game, the game is the same game as everyone else got when they paid the same money. Which isn't the case here.
Any questions I guess?
You have 20 hours played, which means I'm going to assume you haven't earned the level 100 exclusive gear.
The average DRG players spends 30 hours overall playing the game. That level 100 gear is as unreachable to the average player as the streamer/Youtube armor is to you.
Do you find the level 100 exclusive gear to be unfair, and if so; what makes it different from any other cosmetic that the vast majority of players will never earn?
One costs £25, another costs at least £100.
The game can have a low difficulty, content creation is pretty damn difficult.
Level 100 gear generally has no extra steps involved other than... well, playing the game. Crazy, I know, Imagine that.
Also, I moved from Xbox, still wasn't level 100 but I'd say my general hours reach 60 altogether when combined with Steam. I can link my profile if needed.
It encourages players to make content. Calling it a "popularity contest" is like saying jobs play favoritism by only paying people who show up. If you want the armor yourself, it's totally free. You just have to, god forbid, work a bit for it. It's only "restricted content" because you have a defeatist mindset.
What does this even have to do with anything, lmao?
That won't happen though, I'd put money on it.
Besides, there's still the anniversary skins. For that, I'd have to build a time machine. How much work is too much I wonder?
You weren't there for the anniversary, you don't get the skin; simple.
That's literally what makes it an anniversary skin.
Deal with it?
Deal with it?
I'll give you three guesses whether you or the game is going to change first; and the first two don't count.
If a miracle does happen, the community will fight it and the majority vote will win. The content will 99.9% stay exclusive to the few, leaving the game incomplete for most.
Just a guess of course, gotta state that before someone responds with a classic quote.
All I wanted to do was throw in my small hat, that it's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Weirdly blew up.
