^ I second this. The joy of discovering stuff is a great moment tbh.
God is it fun. Homing and blowthrough is my kinda jam when it comes to my blind aim.
Bullet hell is one of the OC people sleep on because they see the decrease in damage and go "it's bad". I do advise you to try the stun mod if you wanna have a laugh. It's stupidly good :D
I got Nukes at level 130 as an Engineer main. I am still super salty about it.
My friend always laughed on me when months later I found out with big happiness as a kid a new build (what was meta). He never understood how cool when you find something out by yourself, he always followed best builds.
Due to my towering intellect for the first 80-100 hours or so I believed that you could only craft overclocks with a blank matrix core. (Actually the cores are used to unlock the OCs in the first place). So I had dozens of shiny OCs in the forge waiting to be built and I would salivate over them with my fingers trembling thinking man I wish I had more blank cores to build these things. Never once did I try to build more than the number of blank cores I had. They sat there unused and as impotent as a mining axe in an elf's manicured fingers.
Related but also unrelated - if you need any DRG tips (from a demonstratably pro 250hr Veteran like me no less!). You're better off asking someone else. While my beard may be grey, my brain was harvested by loot bugs many moons ago. The tragedy of this plot twist is when you smash that loot bug, it drops nothing.
Rock and Stone
And then people wonder why we have cheaters in games.
Sure it might not be the best overclock for other things, but its still decent.
You dont give that much up for it in potential stats.
Icespear is a bit hard to use for most, but can still be a lot of fun for some. I believe it got buffed, i remember it having more downsides, but now it has practicaly non, other than the costly spears themselves. Still perfectly fine to play on lower hazard levels for most i think.
I dont think there are any ''dont get this overclock'' kind of thing in the game, unless you plan on playing hazard 5 only. And even then you need to understand the game and have a decent amount of skill, overclocks can only do so much.
Nah, even in haz 5 everything is usable.
Being a part of a cohesive team will get you further than having any “meta” builds in this game. They try to keep it all decently balanced, definitely better than similar games in this genre.
I would agree with the sentiment to just use what you get and see how it works. Everyone has fun with different Overclocks. Don’t use stuff just because it’s popular, it’s not a requirement in DRG like it can be in RPGs.
