For me the amount of games that i carry on my shoulders and saved many games, I can't write them all but they always stay in my memories as well + somewhere at my 300+ screenshots lol, the amount of them is what make deep rock galactic so special and amazing gem of a game :)
Rock & Stone brothers!
DRG can produce moments like these and they seem like they'd be wasted if not shared. Having one place for people to tell their crazy stories seemed like a cool idea, so I'm hoping people can share some cool stuff.
Rock and Stone.
This one happened the other day.
Hopefully I described this well enough for everyone to picture how it went down. This was the most intense fight I've had in my time on DRG and it's one that'll stick in memory, I'm sure of it. Our fight with the Korlok Tyrant-Weed of Sharp Hell!
Stuff like this really makes you feel like a team, and recovering from what seems like a hopeless and impossible situation really pumps you up. This kind of feeling is really rare in games, and is the reason I love Deep Rock Galactic.
I drilled that thing back 100+ meters to the pod by myself and still made it with less than 30 seconds to spare and a triumphant "no gold left behind!"
The first friend had a Korlok Tyrant Weed encounter in his first mission ever. It was his first assignment mission right after the tutorial.
The second friend joined us the other day. He also had a Korlok Tyrant Weed on his first day. Luckily it was like his second or third mission.
But wait, there's more: On his first day, we found lost crates in 5 successive missions. According to wiki, the chance is 1 out of 6^5 = 7776.
Still can't prove that assignment missions are rigged. Probably just RNG playing tricks on our new friends.
Staying more in-character makes the story a bit better, I think. Tempting me to rewrite mine more like it.
I like how you ran with the title+subtitle thing, too. Thanks for sharing! Added to the list!
Also made a few small changes to mine to make it more in-character, like a story being told by one of the dwarves instead of just me, haha. Really liked the way you did that.
Another run: the drilldozer drive in face of golden cracass detonator, will show pics later how awesome feeling that was.
At the end of the day, faced 3 cracass golden detonators, that was free credits from Karl and gave nice story to tell :)
Hoxxes IV always supprise us ^^
I'm fairly new at the game and Scout is by far my least played class so I'm still working how to use the grappling hook efficiently so I just ran there, mined the gold and turned back only to see a praetorian and a horde of brutes charging at me from the way I came. I decided to run the other way and find another path to the drop pod since my teammates were already waiting there and wouldn't help me.
On my way back I found Molly's markers on the ground and followed them, which lead me to a wall of compacted dirt with Molly's marker going up a vertical shaft left behind by a personal drop pod. From the hole in the dirt came another praetorian and several swarmers. Being low on ammo and dry on grenades I started frantically trying to get up the shaft with my hook with only a sliver of HP left. After several unsuccessful attempts I did get it somehow, all thanks to my shield for not breaking because if it did I surely would have died in a single hit.
In the end I got to the drop pod with 5 seconds left on the clock and 15 extra gold.
