By all means there's nothing wrong with asking if there is a language filter. But to go and mention for "young kids" and "family friendly" for a PEGI 16 game and expect to get roasted based on perceptions of your parental responsibility.
It's a funny place alright. They can let their kids watch people getting assaulted, shot, stabbed, burned, vaporized, etc. but the minute someone curses or there is a bit of nudity, Cover your Angel's eyes & ears or they will be scarred for LIFE! Many countries have weird rules or perceptions about mature material. Germany doesn't allow games to show blood. Australia is paranoid about any kind of drug or sexual references. Give the content a suitable rating. Parents should respect the ratings in their decisions about what their kids are exposed to.
While you're free to ask for milk at a pub, others are free to burst into laughter.
Translation: I made a stupid post and the dozens of people telling me I'm wrong MUST be the idiots, and I, the only one here with superior intellect.
^ Read this again, and this time take it seriously.
Eh. Telling people to just "suck it up" isn't always the right answer. People are complex, and I don't see sensitivity as an inherently "weak" trait. Sensitive people tend to have more empathy, for example. And there's certainly some scenarios where "safe zones" are probably a good idea, such as for people with mental/physical disabilities. You don't tell someone with Depression to just "suck it up, stop being sad!" Some people also have legit triggers that aren't their fault for having, and they should be respected.
In short, not everyone has to be Macho McTough Guy, but let's at least respect that everyone is different, and that Content Warnings are a good thing.
...That said, this game has content warnings, and a rating, so OP is still out of line for being offended by it. If you have epilepsy, and willingly watch a movie with a "Flashing lights" warning and have a seizure, that's still kinda on you.
Sadly, you're not in a unbiased position to call out a fallacy. You're the one that has chosen to disregard ratings established for your own benefit as a parent, then argue that being expected to
exercising common sense when it comes to those choices and options would be conceding to popular opinion? I speak the truth, accept no fault, you all are is caught up in a fallacy if you believe otherwise... It's the calling card of a Narcissist. (Pronounced "Karen" here in Australia)
You overstepped your bounds when you threw a fit in a forum and chose to ignore discourse and suggestions to achieve your goal. You only serve to dig your hole deeper when you keep replying with dismissal and insults rather than following through with the advice for "your kids'" sake.
