This is just a vent, but god. The barrel hoop achievement.

I hate this achievement. THat's all. I wanna 100% this game but I don't know if I wanna spend like 4 hours trying to do this. This? Harder than any of the souls games NG+7 if ya ask me.

EDIT: EDIT because I got it shortly after making this post. I just don't like that barrel hoop achievement, that is all.

THE PROBLEM IS ITS JUST, THE HOOP WILL OCCASIONALLY JUST DO A FULL RESET IN LESS THAN 2 SECONDS WHICH JUST, SCREWS THE MULTIPLIER

When the ring goes from left to right kick it, if you do it the other way around it changes speed so you cant react, it only changes speed when the ring hits the left side and goes back to the right.

Op did it already, but a few tips for other people.

Always kick the barrel when the hoop comes from the right side because it will change speed on the left side and you have no way to anticipate the speed change.

Only kick the barrel when the hoop moves at medium or slow speed, because barrels need a short time before they're firm on the ground after they spawn and you won't be able to aim properly when the hoop moves at very fast speed if you kicked a barrel before. Just let the counter reset and wait till the hoop moves at medium or slow speed again.

That's all you need to get this achievement 100% of the time on the first try unless you truly suck at timing your kicks. I did it twice with less than 90 barrels and I missed two or three barrels even, so there is plenty of room for mistakes.

I got it the first week I had the game. A bit dull to get, but unless you have absolutely no sense of timing whatsoever it's one of the easiest fun/novelty achievements in the game. I'm pushing 1000 hours and I still don't think I have the patience for all the barrels in the drop pod one. I've put that one off for 6 months.

Tip though, Barrel hoop is a bit tougher if you aren't hosting. The network code on the barrel physics is wonky and when you a client, the hoop movement is different.
