i will agree this is incredibly annoying and i wish ghost ship would cut it out
surely it cant be that hard to add in more keys to bind commands to. disregarding the excuse of version parity, which doesnt even apply cos theres no crossplay
"free revives" as in other players wont need to bother rezzing a dead dwarf when the ai can do it for them
Bosco, as a "game asset" is a very cool one, really. Its sounds giving it life, its utility etc, is something most of us who never or almost never play solo are missing or even "wasting".
The mehtod of implementation idk, DRG devs have shown us they are damn aces at developing the game, so they will see.
I don't care if playing with it and other people could mean less rewards, or a scaled difficulty, or who can control him, maybe everybody like molly?
Or how he can be balanced, limited ammo maybe, giving him a stun weapon if out of ammo, and or making him resupply with us. Or even introducing him in a special kind of new mission, I dont know, the possibilities are endless, and Ghost Ship Games have all our faith and support on their developing skills, so they can figure out. Imo they just need to hear the message of " "we, coop players, miss bosco! bring it to us somehow, if possible, please!
Your answer for example, seems to show you are ok with having it (by omission XD) and are only concerned about balance.
So as you know, it could be balanced, in the ways I mentioned (limited ammo, stun gun as replacement, resupply ammo like dwarves), maybe controlled by everyone like Molly, or other 300 possible solutions, which im sure devs could figure out, if the effort was justified (aka, lots of people wanting to play with him on coop :P )
Really, it all comes to balancing. Bosco mining a little inbalanced, maybe rendering some other classes not so useful?
Limit it like missiles, give it a cooldown on mineral mining. Not working? Oh, then make it idk, a salvaged bosco you find in some missions, which after repaired acts as a bodyguard, but cant mine?
Idk, given enough imagination, its all a question of the time and efforts it would take to devs. Sry, my faith in this devs is limitless, if they wanted to add 32 vs 32 pvp fights with vehicles and glyphid mounts, they could, haha. (not a suggestion eh XD)
300 nitra is a lot although its the better of the two ideas.
An errorcube is a hard no. Its a good xp boost and many would try to force the team to pass on nitra for.
Rnd chance to find a broken bosco could work. Maybe just as flying drone that shoots and is not commandable.
Only the Boss.
It also doesn't make sense, in my mind, for Bosco to perform one way in Solo and perform a completely different way with other players present. Plus, the developers would then need to worry about how Bosco would switch between his Solo and Co-op capabilities if players are dropping in and out of missions.
Just seems overly-complicated for very little payoff, to me
I think a better suggestion would be to add a perk that gives you a little combat-only, AI-controlled Bosco-like summon for a limited time, similar to Beast Master. That'd allow players to see "Bosco" in multiplayer games, and it could be balanced separately from the standard Bosco used in Solo.
Would never allow a 4th dwarf.
