Buff Scout
The only reason I use class locking is to avoid double scout, all others I really don't mind having 2 or 3 of them, it's such an annoying class

add more options for class-locking, I want to block scout only

scout's flare gun is hugely important but tbh thats kinda all he's good for
none of his weapons besides the m1k have any real impact and even then the m1k is hard to use in a horde shooter - lots of people seem to like it, that's fine, but i hate the damn thing
there are plenty of other better single-target-damage options - see also pretty much anything gunner can use

other than that a good tcf driller can mine faster and better than any scout can with engie platforms, but good tcf drillers are pretty rare so you cant count on them

personally i think scout should be first in line for new weapons/OCs/gear because he desperately needs them, if he didnt have his powerful throwables and/or the m1000 i honestly would have no qualms with calling him worthless
he isn't worthless right now obviously, but imo he is definitely the weakest class in the game rn, anything he can do is just done better by other classes (excluding the flare gun)
He needs new weapons badly, "git gud" replies automatically assume that I don't know anything about the game

I'm by no means the best scout around but I'm platinium promoted with him and unlocked all his OCs, spent hours trying to find good builds that I enjoy, I've played him more than enough and honestly think he's the weakest (by far)

I like playing without the class locking but too much people join as double or triple scout it's a shame
Temp schock is more of an extra than a worthy mechanic, compared to the insane 3x damage on freezing target the 200dmg from temp shock is not worth the hassle.

I can't speak to every weapon / OC, but I can at least say with certainty that NUKs + Cryo Minelets + Blow-Through are phenomenal at crowd-clear.
Sprint or strafe in circles to corral the swarm, strafe-jump and fire downward at the enemies to plant minelets under the swarm, they erupt and freeze everything, and now you're dealing heavy damage.
Cryo Grenade if you're in a tight spot and need to start the process a little quicker.

I sometimes get more use out of my NUKs in a mission than I do my M1K.
I'm a combat scout, regularly getting more kills than more nooby players. I'd be able to match the kill count of every other class, if I wasn't doing all those things that the other classes can't do. Your welcome.

Also, effectiveness depends on map type. I destroy dreadnoughts if its not on me, and if it is I'm not getting hit. If its following everyone else I do 70% of the damage.

On any defense mission I can agree on scout being worse if they are using a sniper rifle, or if the terrain is instant hand to hand.

Maybe its because scout is my main and favorite, but I say they are equal in a team game where everyone has their jobs. Lets not mention the times the team won't make the drop pod and the scout just goes so the mission isn't fail. So I think its a class where if someone says its bad, they are just unaware.

I was legendary 3 instantly on scout when they went past gold in w/e update that was, and am not legendary 3 in all classes, but I'll probably just be wrong and not respond again.

people who stack scout are some of the most selfish arseholes going, it's literally all just for the hook and they couldn't care less about how their team performs
like at the very least, stacking gunner gives you multiple barriers. stacking engie gets you more sentries
there's no benefit whatsoever to stacking scouts. more than one flare per room isnt needed unless its extraordinarily large (like, large enough to the point of extending outside render distance) and scout offers no team benefit besides this

inb4 "b-but multiple cryos and IFGs!!!" you will literally never need this in any combat scenario

ive never been a fan of such gimmickry, cryo/electro/explosive rounds and stuff feel extraordinarily awkward for me to use and they often come with major downsides (usually to ammo or direct damage)
they're probably good, but i dont care enough to find out, id sooner just shoot the bugs and have that be the end of it

I would argue that more Scouts can potentially complete more objectives faster.

As an Engi main, I've seen lot's of times where we are basically standing around waiting for the 1 Scout to grapple to the dozen or so platforms I've made and mine everything for us. 2 Scouts would certainly make that faster.

Not saying it would or will always work out to be actually beneficial or more beneficial than another class would have been, but then again; I could say that about any duplicate. Depending on the mission, layout, objective, circumstances, team, etc.. they may end up being more or less valuable than bringing 1 of each class.

Scout is not a disability in Haz 5. In a team of all 4 dwarves Driller/Engie/Gunner should have a large excess of firepower in almost every circumstance. If you find yourself being overwhelmed with enemies in a scenario like that, this is a failing of you or your team 99% of the time and not the fault of the class. Scout is a trade of firepower for utility, true, but you should have enough firepower for this to make sense.
Plus doesn't the scout's weapon upgrades including the overclocks benefit from the use of mobility, the scout can easily deal just as much damage as any of the other classes because the person playing as that class is making use of the classes mobility to its fullest plus a scout can even clutch a revive when a situation is extremely dire again because of the mobility options made available to the class.

Nothing can beat 4 gunners anyway, why bother taking anything else?

it's getting old now, stop worrying about my skill level I can probably outperform you, i've been nolifing this game for 2 months, not that i enjoy it but I'm using a pretty decent build for my playstyle, I play it regularly in EDDs and to fill class locked lobbies, no one ever complained about my performance

if scout don't need any buff that's fine just let me custom the class lock option, not using it = triple scouts atm

You really should not make silly claims about "outperforming" someone on H5 when you've previously made silly claims like "you get one-shot on H5" and "H4 can get out of control really easily. You're in over your head on H5 and you will blame anything (Scout, greenbeards, etc) but yourself. You're being ridiculous. Git gud. That's all we can tell you.
