Molly's AI pathing is fine, all it does is find the quickest way back, and take it. This is a common newbie complaint. I'm not calling you bad or anything, we've all been there. Here's some tips for next time you're calling the drop pod:
You gotta remember that the terrain in this game is fully destructible. Use that to your advantage. Also, it may not seem like strategy is all that important given how fast-paced the game can be, but planning is key. Before pressing the button on Molly, plan your way back.
The drop pod almost always spawns somewhere around 150-200ish meters away. So there's not really a point in running back to where you think it'll be. Instead, make sure your route back is easy to traverse and clear of hazards. For example, if you just jumped down a sheer cliff, make a way back up before calling the drop pod. You can do this as you're going forward in the mission, so you don't have to waste time on your way back.
This is probably hardest for the Gunner, but the other classes are fine. Engie has platforms, Scout is... Scout, and Driller can literally dig straight through the map, making a straight line to the drop pod if need be. It's actually typically what most Drillers do, unless the way back to the pod is already straightforward.
ill keep that in mind ty for the tip <3
I'd be glad to add you and show you some tips if you'd like! :D
so I'll take what I learned here and keep it in mind.
but I'd rather learn the majority of the game on my own.
I very much appreciate the offer however!
Take more care when find one of those ^
Remember you always want to Win that's true, in a mission fail will only receive 25% of the credits and experience on the mission and that very low. (not worth to fail).
Good luck :)
