disable halloween?
Hey i wonder how to disable the stupid halloween stuff,

i am not part of some celtic religious cult and i am also not from the usa, for me its just stupid punpkins poping up in my game, never understood why games always need to add this bs everywere.

Its dwarfs in friggin space and theyr for sure atheistic or beleave in all mighty carls rock and stone

Who peed in your breakfast cereal? I don't care about this stuff either, but it's a nice change up for one week a year to add some flavor to the game and an excuse to give the players some free cosmetic items. The developers aren't from the US either...nor is Halloween exclusively celebrated in the US (it didn't even originate there).

Dwarves are canonically a part of a Celtic religious cult. Check the codex entry.

Personally, I hate all the holiday crap. I get some people like it, and I don't want it removed for their sake; but an option to toggle it off would be great though.

Do in universe holidays sure, make up some Dwarf versions of this stuff maybe? That'd be great.

Can't walk two feet without tripping over a pumpkin in real life, and I have to deal with it here too? Lol.

I don't have a strong feeling either way, but since they impact gameplay, it either has to be on or off for everybody. They spawn swarmers and lootbugs, so it's not something that can turned off client side for the players that don't want it.

Just like I can't go to the department store during winter and have the option of blocking out all the Christmas decorations. My feeling it's one week then it's over. Just something for people to expend more effort complaining about than they spend actually just dealing with for a few days.

@ yellowbeard so you mean coffeestain is pendering here? i dont know do you guys think north americans are the majority of players? i personally dont think so

@ currently who says i am atheist, maybe i am muslim and this stuff hurty my religious feelings and i need to blow up myselfe now or somthing

Well, you could just swap the model for an egg; I'm not opposed to the gameplay change up of having them around, I could just do without the holiday themeing.

See...you say one week, and it's supposed to be; but in the past it's gone on longer than that. (For whatever reason.)

What country are you from and is it as influential as USA?

I think they set an end date on it of next week (maybe two weeks tops). They have players chomping at their heels asking when the Halloween stuff is going to start, then it starts and people start barking at them about turning it off. I'm sure Ghost Ship is just saying "Leave us alone so we can keep getting Update 32 fixed!"
