I'm not requesting anything ^^, i honestly couldn't care less if the dwarfs in this game are male or female, if devs do something or not. That why i'm making fun out of it. I just find the whole situation about female&male dwarfs silly ^^ especially since it's fictional
It's just a bait topic that leads nowhere but political cuckery from both sides of the arguments, be it trolls or not. I'd just rather have the devs use their time and resources on actual content that would add to the game, instead of literal useless waste.
I saw that thread here today, and answered for the fun , then i saw another thread about nearly the same topic (female names) in a "male dwarf game" in case this is a "male dwarf" game, maybe we are already playing all female dwarfs, running in a female company and we just don't know it, because we can't tell the diffrence :P
I have alot to say when it comes to black humour and humans acting like the typical human^^
Now we're getting somewhere.
Speaking for myself (a woman) I'm always happy when there's something non-cute to play, give me something monstrous or fierce or whatever. I prefer non-human races in any game where there's an option to choose. There's so much attractive (both male and female) and in my mind it's all too often one-note generic brand hotness, even non-humans generally get the sexy treatment.
Nothing wrong with sexy, just want to be something else sometimes and not have a female warrior in an absurdist outfit.
That being said, i don't think I ever worried about there not being a female character in DRG. I love my beards, and I like being able to have an older male character that has white hair that doesn't look like Santa.
what if female dwarves are not miners lore-wise, is it sexism ?
But that also raises the question; if it looks the same, moves the same, sounds the same, and behaves the same, why do you need both?
People dislike this because it has been over-suggested and is an exhausted topic. People also dislike it because it really isn't a necessary addition and the dev resources would probably be better used elsewhere.
as for why people dislike it? it has been suggested so dang much that people just groan when they see the same thread again.
Again this isn't a feature which needs to be added, nor would I or anyone give a damn if female dwares got added or not.
And I don't think anyone, myself included, suggested adding female dwarves for the sake of equality but as a matter of fact for the sake of customisation! I know I'd love female dwarves because it would give me the option to diversify my team and open up more customisation, which is a large aspect of the game.
I've not seen a single soul getting mad at GSG or suggesting boycotting them over the lack of female dwarves. My aim is to say if GSG want to add female dwarves they can and there's no reason not to, not to say that GSG are sexist scum for not choosing to add them.
I'm saying being against the concept because "it wouldn't make sense" is entirely stupid. Making female dwarves does require effort and development time and that's fine. But if GSG do ever choose to add them there isn't any good reason to be against that.
No it isn't a necessary addition, nor is it one many people care for; but if at a point it can be done and GSG choose to ever do so then let them, the more customisation options the better.
I purchased the Roughneck DLC which is all cosmetic. Is that a meme as well, or is it content or does it not matter because it's fun?
I think the community enjoys customisation options :)
