I'd buy it just for the figures' sake :)

Looks pretty cool!

Now if only I could find a way to get a game going with all my favorite fellow forum vets, lol.

Just meet halfway. Maybe there's a suitable isle or oil platform somewhere in the Atlantic Ozean.

Good idea!

If we were in international waters, we could place some really interesting bets on the outcome of the game, lol.

I'll buy this, but the DRG merch I'm really holding out for is a cave leech ceiling fan.

Shut up and take my money already.

Interesting idea, just hope they don't adopt the FFG model of barebones base game with tons of expansions. Would prefer a self contained game that doesn't need any expansions and I'd pay for that. Any ideas they already have right now for future "missions" or "campaigns", as mentioned in the official announcement, I would definitely prefer it be self contained and played out similar to Jaws of the Lion/Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle where the mechanics are slowly introduced with increased difficulty and complexity.

Am I surprised to see someone with a Warhammer 40K icon mention tabletop simulator?
No this is to be expected

Am I not a real Warhammer fan for never really caring for the table top stuff?
probably

On a more serious less joking note yeah that would be the way to go I hear it used for DND Warhammer all that stuff

From the limited info provided, it seems to be a 2d version of the computer game.
And although that does not have to be bad, I feel like they could have done something different to make it work better.
Something like Munchkin but coop, where you have to find a balance between objective and defeating enemies.
Or something with a random card deck like Eldritch Horror, where you never know quite what will happen and have to work together to make it to the end.
Games like that could have been a good base for a game like DRG, taking elements from them to make something that already works.

I have to see the finished product to realy judge it (for fun and replayability), but many board games are not exactly timeless clasics.
Looking forward to it non the less, it looks realy good atleast.

TTS lets you have a good army to play with and decide if you even like the faction and/or game without having to spend $1000+ on models and paint. The game wasn't really my jam anyways, definitely not to the point I would play it IRL. I think "real" WH40K fans are people who like the lore, anything else is superficial.

TTS itself is pretty janky but it gets the job done when no other alternative is available. GSG can even make an official module and get some cash that way too!

Honestly I started with the books and I’ll admit when you said TTS my brain went to text to speech which should tell you what kind of fan I am
I love me some board games, will definately be looking into picking it up.
