Beer Buff last for all Deep Dive missions?
Because we can't FULKLN SEE THE DAMN BUFF THAT'S APPLIED ON THE DAMN UI...
...I have to ask this question. As well as asking what the buff is when someone else orders it.

Seriously, add what the buff does someone on the UI, even if temporarily. Or show that you're still under the influence of it

I don't see the need to add any icons onto the UI while playing. Less clutter is better.

Adding something in the Esc menu to show that you have a buff wouldn't be a horrible idea. The same place where you can see what modifiers are applied to the mission... the buff details could also be listed here; and then neither bits of info would take up any screen real estate while playing.

Currently, you can look up the buff effect via the bar, before you leave for the mission. Just talk to the bartender and mouse-over the "Today's Special" beer. I'm pretty sure you can see the effect in that UI even if you personally haven't unlocked those buff beers yet.

edit:
iirc, the buff does last the entire Deep Dive. All 3 missions, provided your crew doesn't fail and need to restart.
I believe I remember getting the "Move faster while carrying objects" buff at one point, and it was still working for us after the first stage.

They should add it to the hud details that pop up with the laser pointer. Have it pop up somewhere for you when you pop it out to tell you if your own buff is applied, and point the laser at your buddies to see what buff they have applied. Could probably fit it next to where your weapon stats pop up.

People can drink a beer before they join someone else's game. I've jumped in with backbreaker stout and zipped around a PE. I didn't see the other guys sprinting while carrying so I guess they must not have had it.

Tested with rocky mountain. Terrain remained a one-hit-dig throughout the entire dive.

it'd let you know if they have buffs? Why is this so important? The laser pointer just pops up all the details temporarily so that should be the best compromise for people who want more info and those who want less hud clutter while they work.
I just hit stuff with my pickaxe. Yep still works.

How is a tiny icon near the character class pic considered "clutter"? It's barely noticeable while on the spacerig.

To be fair it would just be consistent.

Huh, I guess it changed since I last did that, or maybe my memory is on the fritz. You're right. But still, what would having this information about your teammates let you do?

Semi related, not quite but kinda.

And not even a major addition or amount of work needed either to make it happen, I would assume.
