3rd Person "Over the Shoulder Camera" View
I understand that it may cause bugs on tight spaces and would probably break immersion and give unwanted advantage, but is there really no other way to change "viewing mode'?
.
I'm asking because almost ALL FPS games gives me a headache. HalfLife, CSGO, Bioshock, Warframe, Left4Dead, TitanFall, Doom and this one :/ I could play around 30min strait but more than that I need to lay down for a couple of hours or take Advil.
.
However, Borderlands, Overwatch and Subnautica seems to be OK for me, I could play them for a whole day and no problem at all. IDK why.:lunar2019deadpanpig:

3rd person Cam could be interesting..
Warframe is 3rd person though?..
you need to get use to the Field of View maybe?

Turn down headbob, that seems to be the issue.
If you can endure the complete eye violation that is Overwatch and Borderlands with all the crap flying onscreen I don't think anything besides screen shake could phaze you, and most of the games you listed have that.

Also try sitting farther away from the screen, or even some less orthodox solutions - try listening to your own music, turn on all HUD elements, play in windowed? If you reduce immersion you'll be slightly less prone to motion sickness.

Also maybe avoid playing Scout because fast movement.

I just want you guys to know that I did everything you said and it worked! I can enjoy the game at greater lengths now :) I also limited my frame rate at 50fps because those micro stutters happening is really jarring to the eye.

I would also like to add... Controllers! (iam using xbox 360)... Its harder to aim compare to mouse BUT that inconvenience is offset by the major comfort of just slouching back, head well rested and arms relaxed... I dont think I'm gonna play without my controller again.

Bumping the FOV up in the settings may help as well, but may make aiming a little more of a pain. I also find it odd that Overwatch wouldn't bother you. I have nothing against the game, but after about 20 minutes my brain just short circuits and I get exhausted from looking at it.

I had bad motion sickness to selected games,
It will render me with bad headache, churning stomach and useless for rest of the day.
Eventually there are games that I unable to play or enjoy
but in this case I'm able to play Deep Rock Galactic.
Try do this for every FPS game. If it still causes motion sickness after it has been set OFF
Might as well refund it after 2 hours trial.

1.Disable Motion Blur

2.Disable Camshake

3.Disable Headbob

4.Adjust FOV range from 90-120 that made you feel comfort for your view that won't cause you dizziness or discomfort.

5.Google up for .ini setting for certain game to manually disable headbob, camshake or motion blur feature. If it doesn't have in option or .ini files; REFUND.

6.Games with Cam movement from shoulder or running that swaying left right is out from my playlist. Even when walking.

7.Set your graphic setting that play smooth without any lag or stuttering, best is to V-sync it with the suitable graphic setting that your PC avail instead push them to run on High/Ultra that cause screen tearing, rubberbanding, lag, stutter or even mini stuttering.

Rock and Stone!

I agree, the entire gameplay of overwatch is just so tense, every kind of color and object flying around and the constant movement and flick reactions required just to stay alive in game is insane, but oddly enough I never felt anything bad when playing it even for 1hr strait compare to an hour of CSGO or the other games mentioned.

For this game I think the camshake and headbob were the culprit for me... After turning it off and playing a couple of minutes, I did not felt anything negative. Also using the controller helps me too... It felt really relaxing compare to having my arms over a table for KB+M.
