I take no issue with the idea of adding a faint glow to Gunk Seeds or Ebonuts, similar to fossils. It'd make sense, since every other seconday object has a glow to help players locate them.
But saying that your only current recourse is to "litter the ceiling 30 meters away from you with all of scouts flares and swing your pointer around for 5 minutes straight" doesn't help your case. Either it's hyperbole which won't do any favors for credibility, or it's really what you've seen people do which is just bad gameplay.
Yeah, the objectives can be a little more annoying than some of the others (I personally think Fossils are still more annoying then Gunk Nuts, but Ebonuts are at the bottom of my list). And adding a glow would help to alleviate that. But in the meantime, there are tools to help you find them and misusing those tools is not evidence that they don't work.
Took a screenshot to illustrate how they can be seen without light, at least in certain biomes: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2127753672
holy-death said nothing about the pointer.
The "scanner" does not refer to the laser pointer, it refers to the Terrain Scanner. The map.
I did a few missions with the gunk seeds (we got them all, each time) and I did notice they were visible on the scanner. The reason I was asking is because I didn't remember if they were visible on the scanner prior to being harvested. That's all.
I thought it was obvious, yet the OP's response is completely out of touch with what I was asking about.
Because they look like ballsacks.
Thanks - I needed a laugh after reading the rest of this thread and that had me spitting my tea over my keyboard.
ALSO GUYS :DDDD THEY LOOK LIKE BALLS :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
