Union Bugged
Hello - I joined the union no problem and got the $5k credits. But it isn't recognizing the union and letting me choose a faction. Now I keep getting the option to join the union, click it, get taken to the Discord sign up screen (asking for username and password even though I am signed up for Discord and signed in), and then when I go back to the game it still asks if I want to join the union. So now I can't choose a faction. Any suggestions?

I could be wrong - been a while - but once you choose a union to join, you may need to wait until the next set of union missions start before it locks you in to the chosen faction.

I know after the initial choice, you can't change faction except between the union missions.

I got it fixed. So I had to leave the Discord channel and then go back into the game and re-join it. It's a workaround but something worth a fix at some point.

Hello, I have played this game for 200 hours and this is the first time I've ever heard of this

Edit: ah god if I knew there were still blue and yellow team goals to accomplish I would have joined them

I've got 75h in this and the same, never heard of this.

I can't even seem to find the terminals you use to sign up for it. How do I even join one? There's no other terminals around that seem to be interactive.

You need to download the Discord app, hook it up to your Steam profile, join the DRG Discord server and then the PSA terminals (like the one next to the pickaxe station) are your union terminals

Anyone looking for a workaround:

1. Join the Discord, link game, etc.
2. Start Steam as administrator
3. Start Discord as administrator
4. Profit!

Literally.

They were a passion project of a dev team member who no longer works for GSG, so they are basically semi-abandoned at this point.

You don't need to link your steam to discord, FYI.

I've got a list of fixes pinned in multiple channel in the discord in case you have it bugging out, but to be safe, I'll share it in here too :


PLEASE READ THE WHOLE MESSAGE BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY FIX.


[Make sure to disband the lobby after trying every fix]
- Online on both Steam and Discord and make sure you're not invisible (thx to Freemysoul !)
- Make sure the discord server isn't muted (thx to Chindian for this one !)
- You can try using the browser instead of the app (or the other way around)
- You can also try having steam and discord running on administrator mode (thx to Marcos for this one !)

- For linux, you can use https://github.com/0e4ef622/wine-discord-ipc-bridge to access the union (thanks to neijr for this !

keep in mind : the bot is half-broken, so it's only working when it wants to

- If you just have trouble getting the interacting prompt for the terminal, there's another one in the medbay that should work fine.
