I kind of doubt it has the raw power, but it might be possible with a ton of optimization and slimming down.

They'd prolly have to hire another team to focus on porting it so that doesn't seem likely either.

I would say the overall odds of a port to Switch are pretty low.

Sure, and hey you never know.

Post release would be the time to do more porting and the game is hitting 1.0 soon.

I suppose we'll have to wait and see, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Well they would also need Nintendo's approval which this game isn't the most "child friendly" game since its about killing aliens so just that could make this problematic but there's also the tools needed to just get it to even work with the system which another company likely annoyed with Nintendo put the WII U into their game because by the time they even got it running on the system since Nintendo ever sent them the tools to get it working for that system the Switch was already released by then.

They didn't port this to the PS4. They would gain more by doing that or even wait and port it to the new generation consoles.

Eh childfriendly for Nintendo is a thing from the past, you can literally play Doom and Mortal Kombat on Nintendo Switch and people forget Manhunter on Wii. :steamhappy:

Manhunter was also extremely censored.

At least from a technical point it could be possible.
I mean they got Warframe running on Switch , not very childfriendly, hordes of enemies, huge/random generated levels, doesn't look like crap.
But there are a few things to consider like finishing/polishing the game to begin with and the resources to spend on such a poject, especially while looking at the possible revenue when selling/marketing a niche game on a niche platform.

It could run, but DRG would probably look really ugly on the switch. Realistically the PS4/5 will have DRG before the Switch ever sees this game.

Any violence, foul language, or personal vices (drinking, smoking) you see in this game is easily matched by Bayonetta, and that game also has sexual content.
I don't think being "child-friendly" enough for the Nintendo Switch is an issue :)

Blah blah blah not enough memory to generate maps on the switch.

There's still the issue of the developer kits that Nintendo would have to provide, the developers for A Hat in Time tried their hardest to it on the WII U but guess who didn't send them the developer kits to speed up that process resulting in by the time it was ready for the WII U the system was already old since the Switch was released by then making all the work they put in be for nothing.
