How to use Hover boots
So. I unlocked Hover boots (https://deeprockgalactic.gamepedia.com/Hover_Boots) but to use them, I must press "C" (or so the game says). But pressing C doesn't do anything. Any help on how to use the boots ?

Press and hold it, just tapping will use the normal function of calling the MULE.

I did but it still did not work. What should I except ? In my mind, I can jump from great height and half fall, press "C" continuesly so it slow my fall. Am I right ?
When I press "C", nothing happens and I break my legs...

Have you actually equipped the perk?

Make sure it's equipped, and then make sure it's off cooldown (there should be a hover boot icon at the bottom left, which is white when available). Then hold C in mid-air til it activates. It won't stop your fall if you almost hit the ground, but as long as you're high up enough you should completely stop in place for a few seconds.
1) Make sure Hover Boots is currently equipped, and you didn't accidentally switch loadouts.
2) While in the air, Hold "C" until you hear a gas-depressurization sound, then you can let go of the keybind. Your character will stop all movement and just hover in the air in that spot for several seconds.
3) Wait for it to end on its own, or press "C" or the Jump key (generally "Space") to end it early.

- You cannot trigger Hover Boots in the Space Rig, only in missions.
- If you rebind "Call the MULE" to something other than C, then you'll need to hold that keybind instead. But the tooltip for the perk (mouse-over text) will update and tell you the button you need to hold. So if it says "C" then you still need to hold "C"

No, I did not ^^

Ok, so, sorry for wasting your time, the perk was not activated.

Now, I play deep rock for a few month and there are still things I don't understand. You can tell that I'm just dumb, but why the hell isn't the perk activable in the perk screen ?!?

And simple highlight of the active perk on this screen would be SO much easy to understand : https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/deeprockgalactic_gamepedia_en/f/f8/Kpi_perks.jpg?version=89e245aba6711a47fa60f9002ea7c7b6

I both love the game for a lot of reasons, but boy, do I hate how clumsy the game menu and some details are...

Thanks for your help and quick answers ! :necroheart:

You have 4 different classes each with 3 different build slots.

That's potentially 12 different unique perk set ups.

There really isn't any better place to have perks equipped than the loadout screen where it is currently.

To avoid injuries, keep your feet perpendicular to the ground at all times.

Well, the perk screen seemed quite a logical place to equip the perks of the character you currently use. Anyway. I LOVE this game, but if I had to give one criticism it would be that there a lot of badly designed UI.

You try to activate a screen, it tells you to promote your character first. Right. How do I do that ? I have to check the wiki to understand that I must reach level 25 for that. A lot of things are this way, and I personaly hate games that need a wiki for basic things. This being sayed, this game is my favorite for 3 years, so I guess they did a really good job on other aspects ;)
