Mines are nerfed too:"Proximity Mine now has a 3-minute lifespan after being triggered once"
Forget IW, I want usual mine behavior back. :lunar2019madpig::winter2019angrybulb:

More like a QoL change for the team playing with a mine engi. Tired of all the randomass mines laying around chunking you when you're trying to kite.

I promise you that I always istalled them on wall or on ceilings of the corridors. For good engies it is a nerf. They not often survived a single wave, but if they do it, they are still useful. Instead of nerfing them, also disarming could be offered as option.

Majority of mine engies are casuals who throw them willy nilly, so this is a good QoL change. Just cause you are good, don't mean the majority are.

I mean disarming them would just immediately remove them, so it having a life span of 3 minutes (which I admit should be more closer to maybe 5 so it can maybe survive till the start of the next wave on haz 5) seems like a good middle ground for both sides.

2 waves ~ 5 min is actually a very good value. From infinity to 3 min (1 wave) is a bit too strong nerf.

I play Engie the most, and use Proximity Mines 90% of the time
Sure this balancing will take some getting used to, but unlike the Iron Will complainers, I'll adjust to it and be fine- honestly, as much as I Love the Proxies, I feel they were OP actually
I do Solo Salvage missions a Lot, and while I'll miss the Pure Joy of having a constant minefield blowing Bugs away comboed with the GL - 3 minutes should be plenty of time to still multiple hit most waves

There ARE two minor annoyances with the Prox Mines changes
1) I used to set up Traps and Minefields BEFORE I started whacking away at an Uplink, etc
now I have to whack those to 85% THEN toss my mines
2) Those times when I would plant a Prox Mine on the run down a Mining Mission, it would use a charge, then 15 minutes Later on the Run Back to the Pod, It would still be there, as an extra Boom for pursuing Bugs- a small thing, not vital, but it would be handy- and always amuse me

The 3 minute countdown only starts after the first explosion, so you can still booby trap the extraction zone before whacking.
