level editor, may not happen, every map is randomly generated so i dont really see a point of a level editor if each mission generates a random map
Maybe, mod workshop, it's something that's been mentioned before, didn't come down on any side, but it is definitely a thought worth a consideration.
It happens all the time, see civilization.
Well given the cosmetic aspects of the dwarves it would be damn cool to see what the community would come up with.
I've been advocating for a map editor for Vermintide 2 for quite some time but with the RNG aspect of DRG I'm not sure if it's necessary.
Vets have been asking for that since 2015. The two issues are Games Workshop and the 2nd being Fat Shark are too bone idle. With DRG they don't share the same first issue but I'll go out on a limb and assume that they share the second.
The simple fact is that things like mod support extend the longevity of games ten fold. It's literally win-win-win for every party from every angle. Old classics like Quake, Thief, Doom, Deus Ex, Total War etc still have thriving communities to this day 20-25+ years on due in no small part to modding and fan made content.
They'll never do it though. It's just too beneficial.
A stupid response does indeed include some stupid words.
Before trying to respond with gibberish and half competent phrases I would suggest you actually give some thought to your response and that perhaps... just maybe... you don't know everything you're talking about.
Fatshark gave their vision of a Dedicated Server... not true. They said they wouldn't sell micro transactions in VT2... not true. They said they wouldn't add PVP to a purely cooperative game... not true.
Can't believe you'd use "boomer" when the only date given when it comes to VT2 and Fatshark is 2015. Who knew that 5 years could put someone into that stereotypical age bracket? Such idiocy.
CIV was brought up, but games in a several hour long 4X match seem different to half hour cave runs.
However, the maps in this game are generated using built pieces I believe, which is why you can sometimes run into real similar gens and rooms.
I think it'd actually work better to have an editor for rooms / pieces. But for giggles, it'd be nice to just have the map editor too yeah.
Clearing an endlessly tall room held up by massive pillars, then going into the next room to find a massive cavern only guarded by narrow passages would be neat.
Just like almost every mods do in any game.
What you mean is you want the developers to implement an optional form of map seed generation control where you can adjust the seeds parameter limits and/or specifics.
Cavern size: [l| | | | |]
Spawn density: [l|l|l|l|I|] (+20% payout)
Mineral abundance: [l|I|I|I|I|] (-20% payout)
Bug speed: [l|I| | | |]
Allow all bug types: [X] (+20% payout)
Disable Iron Will: [X] (+420% payout)
ETC.
ok boomer.
