M1000/Shotty build works great, double fear.
Likewise; AR/SMG build works great too, double movement speed buff.
It feels more organic to operate two slow weapons than swapping beween sniping and spraying.
And engineer turrets can't kill steal. Worth nothing, but I sometimes outperform engy by kills)
Think of it as a subclass. You're changing from scout to sniper when you choose that weapon.
Back to the AR. Even when tapfiring, the dps and performance is sub par and the overall feeling of the gun is mediocre. The only good things it has are the bonus ms after a kill and the decent ammo pool when upgraded.
Hmm, really? I find myself shredding most enemies in no time with two damage upgrades and a fire rate buff, at just about any range. Certainly doesn't have the precision damage of the M1000 (as it shouldn't), but it seems like a pretty capable bullet hose to me.
This is how I use it too.
When I use it, AR can barely hold its own vs a small wave of 8 veteran warriors, takes at least one reload and 10+ seconds to kill them all. Smgs kill them all in one spray...
Snipe things from afar with tapfire AR then ? Well, might as well pick the M1000 who's gonna one shot anything under praetorian level with perfect accuracy after 1 second of focus. Seems way more efficient.
Honestly, I'd like to see some upgrade build suggestions from you guys. I'd like to be proven wrong and to be able to enjoy the AR again, since it felt fine pre update.
Stuff like "you're a cod kiddie" and "he's putting on a farce", while it fits the character, isn't really interesting to hear at all, no offense.
