Zoom Functionality on Scout's Rifle?
I don't know if I'm late to the party on this but after playing a lot in some of the higher complexity caves, I noted that there's really not any good way to get a closer look at things without physically moving towards it.

I think it'd be fitting for the Scout to have some form of zoom in functionality, given it fits the theme of being the vanguard of the team and that his weapon is the best suited for long distance encounters. To be clear, I'm not interested in ADS feature, most of the guns in this game feel just fine.

I'm curious to see what y'all think though, does this go against current game feel, would it be game breaking or am I just alone with this idea?

Well a few things. The gunner is the real vanguard and the fully charged minigun is probably the best ranged weapon. The scouts rifle can only take single shots at long range; and there are no keys available for a zoom.
Thats why im hoping the scout might get a sniper rifle someday, that requires holding LMB to charge + zoom, so its only effective at long ranges.

Charge Sniper would be an interesting addition, but your comment about keybindings has me thinking. Maybe add a zoom feature to the scanner? I don't know how many people are trying to mine while simultaneously holding Ctrl. I might stop accidentally clicking on common stone, haha.

i support the sniper idea. but while the rifle is inefficient at long range(as far as ammo goes), i use it pretty effectivly. as long they dont remove the rifle im all good with sniper idea.

Might be a need for it in the future but currently I don't see it much. I've only seen one truly massive cave in experimental where a sniper rifle could be useful. Toss in most of the time caves are pitch black unless flaregun'd and even on the laserpointer it'd be pretty useless. But I guess we'll all see later, they do intend to overhaul guns in general according to the roadmap.
