I have no idea if they ever intend to improve it. I doubt it honestly, the only real way it could actually be useful is they converted it into a 3D image you could rotate and actually get a feel for the caves with and god knows how much codework that'd amount to.
I just think people nowadays don't know how to read a map thanks to technology.
Its not even a map, but a terrain scanner, typical thing people doesn't know how to use anymore due to technology....right?
you were missing more sheeple words like millenials to sound more tarded.
2. No it won't be improved, it's working as intended as a slight help device for compact dirt or driller classes who get lucky and get to make shortcuts rarely.
As for it not showing elevation, it's not a topographical map and would otherwise be too good.
The other part of the problem isn't even about the map itself, sometimes the generation is fairly evil and compact dirt is difficult to find, maybe a dirt finder will be added one day.
good, I respect your point of view, but since you are not a dev your statement about it working as intended and not gonna be improved is just your personal opinion, far from facts.
I'd say with or without complains it will get improved upon game release
So you're the authority on what the devs intended, and you've determined that they have no intention of changing the scanner whether or not players like it? How'd you do that?
I agree with Highlation.
Map is working as intended. The game is thematically about exploring an unknown cave system. Any additional help in navigating would detract from the pacing/tension. Try to imagine the game with a glowing bread crumb trail to the end room, and giant floating arrows pointing at every vein. This is the extreme logical extension of the direction you are taking. Too much help is not a good thing.
The map generation is working as intended, compact dirt is not difficult to find, and of course no dirt finder will be implemented, cause I say so.
We can all provide such """constructive""" feedback haha
Compact dirt is quite easy to find. Are you having issues of some sort? Look for the brown rocks on walls.
My feedback isn't "unconstuctive" simply because I don't agree with you.
Do you want to discuss our viewpoints like adults or just immediately resort to sarcasm at the first sign of a conflicting opinion?
