Hazzard 4's are still brutal as hell solo though, and as you said, it's the ammo depletion mainly to blame when 10 praetorians all spawn at once.
Hazard 4 is just brutal, especially as driller where you're forced to go melee but go down within seconds. Every exploding critter you don't see coming insta kills you, ammo management is insane hard and when you have a wave insight a tunnel you're almost screwed just because there's so much preatorians that the whole tunnel soon fills with their gas that does quite a lot damage on hazard 4. Only chance you have is constantly moving further during waves, which makes engineer turrets pretty pointless
It becomes more doable with tier 3 armor upgrades.
Like Valhalla pointed out, the issue really is about the lack of supply drops. 80% of the time, we're out of supply drops when we're about to call the drop pod for evac. This is when the driller becomes critical.
Every wave and every swarm practically demands a supply drop. :/
Point extraction is a different kind of beast tho. On haz 4 you gotta be fast af if you dont wanna end up swimming in a sea of bugs while trying to grab that sweet supply drop
Each resupply is 4X50% but still costs 80 NItra to call in. That is to say, after a wave or two, you will be hurting for ammo and you can only do a partial resupply if you're a 4-man team and you all use ammo and deployables (zipline C4 etc).
In Solo I can fully restock myself from nothing twice per pod, with 2 full heals (50% hp each ). I've noticed that the co-op is also different in terms of NItra. It seems like there is less with more players? Might just be bad luck or my imagination but it does make the game quite difficult even at H2 sometimes.
