strange pig noise [post no longer needed]

at one point i was doing some missions in sand blasted corridors and i kept hearing a pig squealing and a burrowing sound and i would see dirt being kicked up. i have looked on the enemy page and haven't found it.
it would be great if someone could tell me what the noise was. if it helps, Nayaka Trawlers seem to spawn when it exists. the noise has stopped now but i was just wondering what it was.

That's a glyphid Menace, they get annoying sometimes.

The only burrowed enemy is the nyaka trawler (or something) aka sandshark.
They can squeal if unearthed.

Imo the loudest enemies are breeder and bdets but to me they don't sound like pigs.
I wouldn't know any enemy sounding like a pig.

The enemy that makes those noises is the Menace, but it only makes them when it's in its idle state and not attacking.

The screaming when you stun them sounds kinda like a pig squealing. I think it's safe to say he's talking about them.

actually i think only host hears menace... when im not hosting i only hear digging sounds

And to think, some people say the infected Bet-C idle noise sounds like a cow. :) So yeah, not sure what kinda cows you guys got over there but cows sound nothing like that here.
