does extra resorces grant a bonus?

when you complete a mission do you get more xp/credits for having more of the target resorce E.G morkite, holomite etc.

For the credits, only gold counts. You can see it at the mission end at the bottom left, where credits are shown.

For the expierence, every resource, but I can't confirm it.

You get an over all "mining" bonus under exp

See, I was just assuming you did get bonus gold, as scores are always odd numbers.

But if it doesn't...why? I would think we should be rewarded for staying in a cave longer and exploring.

The exp get from mining extra stuff is really low.
If you want to level up fast and get a lot of money, just do the quest as fast
as possible with just the nitra/morkite that you need.
Ignore the extra, get the crafting ingredient and done.
I explore and get everything for fun...
but this is not worth the time if you just want the stuff.
