Negate Fall Damage Via Bouncing Off Dwarf Head?
Just curious as to whether the fact that I can consistantly fall from almost 100 meters and not die by bouncing off another dwarf's head is in the game by design or one of those physics bugs?

(You can use your "head" a little when you want to save that stranded scout but have no platforms..)

Its a bug; but hey someday it might be a feature!
Ive saved many a dwarf life by using this. And it’s a damn good feeling to see somebody fail a jump but you run quickly to where they will land and save them. (Then they give you a good rock and stone salute for your deed) Make it a feature to save dwarves from falls hopefully in the form of an animated catch.

I would agree with you both, would be an interesting addition to the gameplay and adds some dwarven atmosphere to the squad.
We use it all the time!
You can also bounce on glyphids. I'd say is an unintended physics feature, take advantage of it like a pro :)
Fall damage in this game is based on velocity, rather than distance fallen. Landing on a living entity (dwarf, glyphid, brood nexus?) makes you "bounce" off and lose your velocity, negating fall damage. So it's a physics bug. I may be wrong on this, correct me if so.

Bump.

Is this a permanent feature yet? =D
You can also bounce off enemy to get the same result.
Please don't make this a feature. People complain about the game being too easy, then brag about all the exploits they use... Just plain dumb

I use zero exploits because i like playing the game the way the devs meant for it to be played

Stop breaking the game then b!itching about how easy it is. Then the devs have to balance the game to accommodate the cheaters (exploiters)

this.
an excellent way to rotate a praetorian's backside towards one's teammates.

I like it because it encourages teamwork and communication. Though from a gameplay mechanic perspective, I think the engineer's platform should act as a shock absorber.
Honestly if they remove this particular bug with no changes to how revival and death works then all I’m going to do is sit at the bottom of the pit or cave and wait for my ally to jump to his “death” and then promptly revive him.

Not all exploits take danger out of the equation Vash. This just so happens to be one of those exploits that doesn’t change the game much should it stay or be removed with the current death/revival system.
