I found it funny when I was looking up other peoples issues the frequent quote was "The crates are easy to find, its the batteries that are tricky" is just the icing on the cake
So when I can't find one or the other, I pop open the terrain scanner and look for any ceiling ledges or nearby caves/tunnels where something could be lurking.
But who knows, maybe your crate bugged out and was buried underground
I found two battery packs, but the crate was... in the most weirdest spot it could've been in. It was lodged stuck inside of a sand pillar. Took me a swarm and a half in that big room to even find it.
Another problem I had was in Glacial Strata. Was in a salvage mission, and we got to the big room with all the mules in it. Then molly pushed me off, and my friend had to rely on what I saw at the bottom, which was nearly 60 meters from where I fell. I saw a spitballer on the edge of some terrain, and a breeder, but I also saw a crate pretty much near the edge of the other side of the spitballer. We found one battery, but looked around for 20 minutes, and couldn't find the other one. We looked in every nook and cranny, but we never came across a sound, even checked spawn twice. There wasn't even smooth ice which made it slightly frustrating.
I'll have to play around in sandblasted sometime soon, I hate the biome tbh because of all the wind tunnels in every room, difficult to navigate because you can't really block them, and some minerals are usually around it.
Seen similar things happen with enemy spawns. Had cave leeches and nexus spawning inside sand pillars.
I'm sorry what.
Cave leeches? In sand pillars?
I'm going to binge on Sandblasted now. I want to find this.
I mean, that's only in salvage. I've had that happen several times. Dunno if it's a bug or not.
